First approved: Fall Music in Our Schools: This program provides funding for instrument rentals to those students who would like to be involved in the music program, but otherwise may not be able.

First approved: Winter First approved: Spring Delaware Valley Friends School Summer Academic Program: This five-week summer program for middle and high school students provides intense, consistent, and individualized instruction to help students improve their reading, math and assistive technology skills.

Summer Learning Opportunities: For students entering grades 5 through 12, FLITE provides financial assistance to various academic, fine arts and leadership camps. The goal is to inspire and motivate students to view college as a viable and attainable option to consider after graduation.

Evolving Programs We evaluate funding of existing programs and review grants for new programs as needs arise. Preschool Programs Preschool Tuition Assistance: In partnership with local preschools, FLITE provides preschool tuition assistance to young students residing in Tredyffrin and Easttown who meet certain financial criteria. This year, especially, with periods of remote learning and limited face-to-face direct instruction, it's more important than ever to close the gaps and continue remediating students' challenges with reading and writing skills.

Our expert teachers, trained through our IMSLEC accredited teacher training program, will schedule one-hour sessions bringing high-quality, live, direct instruction to each student.

Whether the goal is making progress in decoding or polishing writing skills, DV Summer instructors are available to help. There are two instructional options available: in-person on DVFriends' Paoli campus or online via Zoom.
